Nestled along Florida’s Emerald Coast, Panama City Beach beckons to every traveler craving a relaxing, sunshine-filled vacation on the Gulf of Mexico. Our beautiful city is known for its wildlife, state parks, and endless, gorgeous coastline.
But with influence from Florida as a state and Alabama not too far, our cuisine shines as a testament to America’s Southern style – and breakfast is no exception. In fact, it’s the meal that sets your entire vacation in motion!
Here at The Pines at West Bay, we can’t wait to welcome you to all PCB has to offer and host you in our spacious, 3-bedroom units in our private resort. But to fill up that itinerary, let’s take care of your breakfast schedule!
1. Another Broken Egg Cafe

- Price point: $
- Website: anotherbrokenegg.com
- Casual Breakfast Chain
- Favorite Menu Item: Benedict Burger; Apple Fritter French Toast
Another Broken Egg has almost 100 locations across the US, with 20 of them in Florida. That should tell you they know what they’re doing, and the Panama City location doesn’t disappoint. Take any breakfast meal you could think of and pour in a generous helping of artistic touch and Southern flair. That’s what you get with Another Broken Egg.
Take a seat on the patio and indulge in your favorite classic breakfast. Fancy a waffle? They’ll give you one with cookie dough bits if you want. Or if you’re craving something savory, we love the Shrimp Benny paired with an oh-so-French vèloute sauce. And if you’re tired from the night before, don’t worry. This breakfast place has delicious food, but its down-to-earth vibe still welcomes a casual look.
2. Andy’s Flour Power Cafe and Bakery

- Address: 2629 Thomas Dr, Panama City, FL
- Price point: $
- Website: andysflourpower.com
- Homemade Breakfast Classics
- Favorite menu item: Biscuits and Gravy
Andy’s is a place that’s synonymous with freshness and high-quality ingredients. They don’t skip any steps to make sure the flavor is there. Even their cocktail menu wasn’t finalized until they got feedback from customers. Try the Honey-Bee Collins with lavender and honey infused maple syrup and fresh lemon juice, and you’ll get what we mean.
Now for the food. This spot always delivers a great breakfast and brunch (brunch on the weekends), and you really can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. We love them for their crepe-thin, rolled omelets, especially the Surf n Turf with bacon, cheese, and a lobster bisque bath. But the real star of the show is their homemade gravy, made with sausage and absolutely delightful on their fluffy, rich biscuits.
3. Fatty Patty’s Cafe

- Address: 948 Thomas Dr, Panama City Beach, FL
- Price Point: $
- Website: fattypattyscafe.com
- Burgers and Brunch
- Favorite menu item: Fried Chicken Tenders
Fatty Patty’s is the place for amazing burgers, including the biggest in Panama City Beach. Their Chubby Challenge is a 3-pound burger with all the fixings, worth $40, but free if you can down it within an hour.
Another delightful menu item that might fly under your radar? The hand-breaded and fried chicken tenders. They’re homemade and pack a punch of flavor in every bite. We also like the fried chicken sandwich, which you can also get frilled, by the way. You can even get your sandwich on a gluten-free roll by request.
And if you want a seamless blend of breakfast and lunch? Go for the breakfast patty, a succulent burger topped with a fried egg and bacon, delish!
4. Sunrise Cafe & Bakery

- Address: 10616 Front Beach Rd, Panama City Beach, FL
- Website: sunrisecafebakery.com
- Price point: $$
- Baked Goods and Breakfast
- Favorite menu item: Chantilly cakes; homemade donuts
Sunrise has a homey feel that’s unmatched in PCB, and their homemade breakfast, lunch, and sweets deliver the flavor along with that ambiance. We love their loaded hash brown burrito, a must on a day after a late night or simply if you have a big appetite!
Their coffee bar is also impressive, serving up specialty lattes like dirty chais, dulce de leche, and full moons with hazelnut and vanilla flavoring.
This is also a great spot for baked goods, especially housemade doughnuts and a wide variety of cakes! If you’re on vacation to celebrate a birthday, stop at the cafe and grab a chantilly, coconut, chocolate, or strawberry cake, among other flavors. Then, bring it back to your home away from home and enjoy it with your loved ones!
5. Taylor’s Breakfast and Lunch
- Address: 1114 Thomas Drive, Panama City Beach, FL
- Website: taylorsbreakfastandlunch.com
- Price point: $
- Variety of Breakfast & Lunch Classics
- Favorite menu item: Steak & Eggs Benedict
If half of your group wants breakfast and the other half wants lunch, don’t worry. Taylor’s Breakfast and Lunch has you covered with an expansive menu that covers everyone’s palate.
Our personal favorite? The Steak & Eggs Benedict is served with seasoned steak strips, poached eggs, a medley of herbs, and satisfying pepper jack cheese. The Parisian Benedict served on a croissant is also a great choice.
6. The Pour

- Address: 12902 Front Beach Rd, Panama City Beach, FL
- Website: thepourpcb.com
- Price point: $
- Coffee shop and light breakfast
- Favorite menu item: Avocado Toast
Craving something light? You might not have the appetite for a stack of pancakes or a hearty, bacon-sausage classic breakfast. But if you’re just having toast and coffee, you better make sure that coffee is impeccable. The Pour will make sure of that with its impressive array of specialty lattes and coffee drinks that you can enjoy inside or as takeout.
They also feature a small menu of lighter fare, including avocado toast, veggie pitas, and a rise-and-shine breakfast sandwich.
7. The Pancakery of PCB
- Address: 13800 Panama City Beach Pkwy UNIT 110, Panama City Beach, FL
- Website: thepancakery.com
- Price point: $
- Pancakes
- Favorite menu item: The Big Apple
The Pancakery of PCB opened in 2017, but they have had roots in Destin since 2011. If you’re after a gourmet pancake, this is the spot for you. While any pancake has the same secret dough recipe that makes the texture so fluffy and soft, we especially love The Big Apple with apple slices and an apple compote, as well as a scoop of ice cream, and The Bacon Lover with crispy bacon and whipped cream.
The Atomic Bomblette with sausage and jalapenos is also a delectable choice. You can also find lunch options here, like jalapeno ranch chicken, club sandwiches, and a number of salads. Don’t forget to customize your meal with endless sides like honey, hash browns, eggs, and biscuits!
Enjoy Your Vacation in Panama City Beach
Are you drooling yet? Don’t worry; so were we, as we rounded up all these delicious breakfast options for you. In fact, we might even have to order them for lunch (and maybe dinner, too).
All in all, PCB has a wide variety of restaurants that pay tribute to Southern cuisine, and our breakfast joints don’t disappoint with fresh ingredients, Southern classics, and the odd, succulent burger when you just want a little extra meat!
